Nutbourne Pumping Station
West Sussex
8.5kWp Peak output | 37 module Solar PV system
Nutbourne pumping station in West Sussex was a wreck. It closed in the 1970s and it became a bunker full of rusting, redundant, heavy-duty machinery.
New owners Nick and Brigitte, had a vision to turn this concrete carcass into a beautiful family home with minimum CO2 emissions. Part of the plan was to maximize the flat roof space by installing a 37 module 8.5kWp Solar PV system. This is used to produce most of the electricity in the house.
As well as helping the environment they expect to receive a Feed-In-Tariff estimated at over £3000 in the first year!
