Households and communities who fit approved Photovoltaic (PV) packages will from April 2010 be entitled to claim payments for the low carbon electricity they produce under the new Feed-In Tariff (FIT). The guarantee of getting an income on top of saving on energy bills will be an incentive to all householders and communities across the UK wanting to make the move to low carbon living.

A typical 2kW well sited solar PV package could offer a homeowner a reward of up to £900 and save them £140 a year on their electricity bill.
